When did Zum change from a pull release changer to an all pull changer? |

I wasn't aware that Bruce ever used a pull release changer other than his student model but there's a beautiful Zebrawood Zum on ebay right now from 77 and looking at the pictures it may very well be a pull release changer? I have a 82 and it's all pull. Didn't answer your question but that narrows it down a little. |

I should know but don't, having lived in Kansas City and I saw one of the early Steels in Jan 74 (may have been S/N 2 or 3) that Bruce had in his car trunk and was showing to people at a steel guitar seminar at the local Quigley's music store.
I've played several friend's Zum's back in the 70's and 80's and never paid attention to exactly how the changer was made. They all played well. |

According to Bruce he switched to the all pull changer in late 1977 or very early 1978. About sixteen pull-release pro guitars were made. The guitar on ebay was his personal guitar for over a year. Hank Ruf owned it later. |
