The 1934 National Trojan restoration will be complete in a week or two and I am thinking (<-- bad idea!) about the possibility of restoring an electric lap or pedal steel. (We have long cold winters here in Manitoba!)

If anybody has a beat up piece of "junk" collecting dust in the basement that you think deserves a second life, drop me a PM with some information on what you have and what you would want for it.

If these are still around when my "retirement" ( ) plan evolves from it's guitar collection selling stage and into it's custom building / rebuilding stage, ....I have many ideas for these aged mahogany planks, and even the unique sounding electronics assembly on a hubcap geetar ; So yer ad caught my eye.

I did indeed miss those previous posts; Probably during a period when I couldn't get to the SGF while your posting was on page 1! Hardly ever time enough to make it to page 2 !

If you're gonna play it lap steel style, or horizontal "dobro" style; Have you considered swapping the tuners L->R and R->L so the tuning button shafts point upward? Makes tuning much easier / quicker in those styles' lap or strap positions.

Since we've never communicated ....and thus I don't know: Are you aware of nut risers for playing lap or horizontal styles?
