We have 2 comfirmed players for the "Rose City" SGA in Tyler, Texas next Sunday at Gilbert's El Charo Restaurant at the corner of East Loop 323 and Hwy 64 east (5th St.)
The players will be Charles Tilley and Billy Braddy. The band will consist of Pee Wee Walker on fiddle, Bob Myers on Sax., Bruce Hendley on lead guitar, Owen Sherman on drums and Bob White on bass.
All are invited to come and share in some good 'ole country music from 2PM to 4PM. |

Herb, You are so right. I used to work for him when he was here in PA. I still keep contact with a family member that lives here. He has much more to attend to than a steel show. I guess some things never change.

I have great respect for Al Petty as an accomplished steel player, but he has gone a bit far on his daytime job.
Just think, it won't be long until tax payers will be furnishing all the parts needed for the production of a steel guitar in the BIG HOUSE.
Well, at least he will have a CAPTIVE audience.
All kidding aside,,,,, it would be great to have him as our featured player. He is one dynamite player. He has probably forgotten more that l wiil ever learn.

Personally I find it sad that anybody could get in such a predicament that late in life. Let alone a steel picker of his tallent. Sadder yet that anybody could see his situation as humorous. At Al's age a 15 year sentence is as good as life. Very sad indeed.
