Can anyone here tell me where I can get the diamonds to cover the bolt holes on a String Master body??
I don't realy want to fill and paint over them unles I have to..
This is a single body so no bolts are needed..
Thank you...

Papa Joe is talking about the chrome diamonds that are on the front and back of the Stringmasters. They are not available at Stew Mac.
BTW, Is this a single neck salvaged from a multineck Stringmaster?
I just plugged the holes on this one.

Joe,
Don't paint it white. Get some Fender "Blonde" from Guitar ReRanch along with some tinted clear coat lacquer. That will restore the Fender look we're accustomed to.
I did that with this guitar also:

Those diamonds are not "strictly" decorative.
They actually cover the heads of the bolts that hold a multi-neck Stringmaster together.

Actualy McUtsi,I agree on something decorative to cover the holes, but I'll probably plug and fill them. There won't be any touch-up as the body has been stripped and will be getting a complete paint job..I have a Fender decal coming from Bobbe for the front.
I like your suggestion on the paint Erv.Something to consider for sure.Thanks..
I've got a bridge cover and legs coming too.
If I'm careful and take my time,it should be a nice guitar.

Hey Erv,What did you use for grain filler and primer on your guitar? How much paint did it take for the finish?

Joe,
You can get everything you need at:
www.reranch.com
They have oil base filler, sanding sealer , Fender blonde, tinted clear coat & clear coat. You also should pick up a pack of the sandpaper also. I wound up with #1500 before I got done. Also the 3M Finesse-It is an excellent polish when you get to the down stroke.
One can of each of the above should do the trick.
Down load a copy of their finishing instructions also.

Papa Joe, if you can't find any diamonds, maybe some of these bad boys would work ....
OR, if you really wanted to give it a "country" look, maybe some of these to cover the bolts.
Just kiddin' ....
