Howdy All,
I just found one of these muthas in a big, heavy old PA cab someone gave me years ago. Anyone have any info on how well it'd work in a Webb or NV400 for pedal steel?
Thanks,

I don't know anything about the 145, but check it's power handling capacity before putting it in either the Webb or NV400. Most JBL's I have seen won't handle the 200 watts that a Webb or NV400 is capable of producing.
As far as tone, I have a BW 1502-4 in my NV400. It's cone is ribbed and supposedly was a bass speaker. It has great lows and also great high end. I've tried a 1501-4 that I have and it just doesn't compare to the 1502 in the NV 400. So, I think the 145, being a low fequency driver, may sound real good in the NV400 if it has good high frequency response as well. I took the 1501 and put it in my new Webb (Tom Bradshaw version) and it smokes the Eminence speaker that came stock in it. I would think the 145 might sound good in the Webb also. But again, check the power handling capability on the speaker. You don't want to throw an 80 watt speaker into a 200 watt amp. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
