Ok lately I've been re-doing/refurbishing Pedal steels for several local steel players. Well I found something I LOVE to do. A Pedal steel through time will get way unadjusted; dirty; ugly; and just won't play or look right anymore. That's where I come in..   I'll take your Old pedal steel and change around any pedals or knee lever configuration you want....re-adjust all moving parts; clean changer and polish all metal parts; clean the body; fix the legs; install pickup(s)you want; change strings and give you a copedent chart with guages for your guitar; and re-attach fret board if needed....and do all this without putting any parts on a machine or stripping any wood.......so basically I will make your old guitar> Look and play brand new.....and will play your guitar at a show to prove it can be played and all changes go and come back perfectly.
I've done: Marlen;BMI;Emmons;ShoBud and will tackle any pedal steel you have at a extreamly reasonable price.
Here is a sample of an OLD ShoBud Pro 1 I did for a student/friend....and believe me this thing played aweful and looked like it belonged next to the garbage can out front.

Hey Pete; that Switch is a Coil tap for the Single Coil ShoBud pickup..
Nathan; sounds good my friend....
Stephen; yes I'll take any guitar from anybody anywhere; as long as they ship it to and from.....
I don't so Restorations though.....like Mike Cass and Duane Marrs or Seymour....cause I don't have the parts and don't do wood work or formica work or refinishing. But if someone had the parts; I'd certainly put on/take off anything they got....add a split tuner rod here; toss a pickup in there.....heck whatever anywhere.... .oops that's "the cat in the hat"....ha....sorry.

okay so that's my sho-bud up there. you would not believe the work that ricky put into it. it was an absolute glorious transformation--i wish we had some before pictures! anyway, i bought this thing off of ebay, got it in the mail, took one look at it and all of a sudden got REAL nervous. It looked like it needed a serious overall and that wasn't the half of it!
so i emailed ricky and i got the guitar to him and i gotta tell you, he put his soul into fixin her up. not only cosmetic but serious structural problems that i wasn't even aware of. i still can't get over how great it looks and sounds.
and when he told me he was gonna play it with Dale at ginny's, you better believe I flipped! as a young, relatively new, steel player, this was a treat beyond belief. i know i had a giant smile plastered on my face the whole night!
so let me tell you, ricky will work WONDERS on your guitars. he turned my wreck into a real beauty!! now if I could only play like him...

Glad to do it for ya...and now you have a very very old pro I...that will play perfectly and look great......and of course it sounds awesome......for ever and ever...
.....and we'll get that 710 in there as soon as it comes in.....and then you can record in the studio with it.....yeee haaa.

Ricky-That is a beautiful job on a Great little guitar.
I had one of those with 2 sho-bud pickups, pickup selectors, dual coil taps with 5 pedals and 5 knee levers, Tone and volume controls.
Wired for 4 input jacks.Sorry I sold it. What a sound! I owned it for 14 years. If I could have got 2 more pedals on it, it was Rack and Barrel and no more room. I would keep it forever.

I sometimes think I jump into a thread where I maybe ought not to be but I can't resist this one. That is really some nice work on the Sho-Bud. I couldn't help but notice the similarity of the wood work and that on your SS Hawaiian. Both are outstanding examples of craftsmanship where it shows the best of the worker. You have my commendations on both instruments, Ricky !!

Al that is quite a Pro I you were explaining you had....wow...wired for 4 imput jacks...two pickups...dual coil taps...>what in the world ever happened to that guitar...ha.."yeah I know...I can ask that about 6 or 7 for myself.."ha...
This ShoBud above is also Rack and Barrel....and except for just two barrels not responding properly(don't have the little spring hangin' out..ha)>..It plays perfect now...and everything goes and comes back......and thanks for the kind words Al.
Hey Paul; thank you too....and yes it is similar looking to the SS HAWAIIAN simply cause it's about the same color.
But this Particular ShoBud Pro 1 is Hard Rock Maple body and birdseye Maple Neck.....just a killer; awesome combination and this little guitar will kick serious butt up against______? .....well I can go on naming guitars....but Herb will put a knot on my head again...so I won't.....but just a great sound.
