Here are photos from the Nov 2, 2002, steel jam in San Jose. Not as many shots as from the August jam, and I wasn't as "good" a photographer this time around. Oh, well.

Enjoy!!

Hey Bill, I guess we drove up so we could get our picture in the background in three of these. I'll try to suck in my gut more next time. You did fine, Gary & Christine Walker.

Everyone seemed to be so old. HA HA. I can say that as I more than qualify. Our group in Oregon/Washington is the same way, only a few young guys in their 40's all the rest of us are getting up there.

Pics were great thanks for posting.

FWIW... The guy with the red shirt and suspenders and the pretty blue Fessy guitar is Big Jim Baron... And he is one cool dude!

Danny,

Do you mean this fellow?

Yup, that's Jim! He is a great guy. And a real BIAB expert. He's also a key asset at these jams, to be sure, since he keeps us rolling with backup music.

Spent part of the day today at Big Jim's. He had a few friends over and was the great host he always is. He's a great friend of the steel and is admired all over for his warmth and a heart of gold and the Walkers love him and his sweet wife.

Great shot Bill.

Yep, Jim's a "Gentle Giant" for sure.

For the rest of you guys to get a better perspective on what a giant he is, take a look at the soda sitting on his tuners. It is an extra large In & Out soda!
