Tommy:

Jim Lauderdale writes and sings a lot of great songs. I have a tape of his performance on the Opry about a year ago singing "If I Were You". It is a neat song (a 4/4 shuffle with [I think] a 1#diminished early on), and there was some classic Sho-Bud steel work to go along with it!

Hope you have a good gig in NYC.

Tommy:

Give me a call when you get nearby. E-mail me for the number if you get this before you hit the road.

I'm about 170 miles north of NYC (Tribes Hill, N.Y.) and it's too bad I can't get away on Thurs. to get down to the big city to see you folks. If the WX was better I'd take you out smallmouth bass-fishing on the Mohawk River while you were up this way.

Have a good gig 'ol buddy.
