Thanks Keoki, the price I paid equates to $414.94 USD.

AND, (There I've actually started a sentence with 'and') here I am playing a wiessenborn 3/4 size "Bristolian" Basil Henriques model.

Baz, forget about reading between the lines....if you have spent too much cabbage on that guitar I suggest you just shoot that old Emmons over to me and we can make a cash adjustment???
Anyway, Looked at your vids and of all the guitars you played I have to say the old Fender had by far the best tone IMHO......

I've always thought that you would make an excellent resonator player, and I even thought of building you one. (I noticed how Pat left the room when I started playing one and assumed it was my playing.)
Looks like you got a bargain for the price. Now what you need is an 8-string reso...

Alan:- the reason Pat left the room is that she absolutely HATES resonator guitars, primarily because the usual music played on them NOW, is the early Hawaiian /Vaudevillian style which is typified by burlesquing and tons of (presumably) tongue in cheek jiggery pokery with the bar and various foreign objects.

The players like Sol Ho'opi'i, Sam Ku West and Gino Bordin, are her favourites and, in HER opinion, no-one today comes up to their level of expertise and musicianship.

I didn't suspect for a moment that an innocent little wooden hollowneck could perhaps act as the "gateway drug" that leads to resonator use...

I was only joking, Pat. I hate to think of Basil out in the street playing his resonator with his cap between his feet, busking for pennies. (Even though I guess NEW pennies are worth 140% more.)

well it sounds to me like Pat has enviable taste in acoustic steelers ( Sol Ho'opi'i, Sam Ku West and Gino Bordin) ...couldn't have chosen better myself

She also must rank as the perfect wife. How many wives diligently sit there and play rhythm guitar for their husbands hour after hour without complaining or wanting to be in the spotlight.
