Hey Mr. Sarno. I have been looking at the Revalation Tube Preamp and I am planning on puchasing one but I have a few questions. Being an all tube preamp, does the unit get pretty hot because of the tubes? What type of power adapter does the RTP use? I've never "really" heard the tone of a RTP, do you have a audio file of the RTP? Thanks Mr. Sarno. You will be hearing from me soon!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Austin,
since the Rev is only a preamp with no "power tubes", it really doesn't get that hot at all. The power supply is built in with an attached power cord, no adapter. It runs the tubes with a real 300+ volt power supply. I don't personally have any tone samples, but off hand I'd say listen to anything John Hughey did in his last 2 years, and any of the recent Buddy Emmons on Prairie Home Companion shows, Randy Beavers recent albums and some live stuff with Leanne Womack, anything Jerry Newberry or Austin Stewart have done at steel shows in the past few years, Herbie Wallace, live Toby Keith concerts, Dan Galysh, Paul Franklin borrowed one on last year's Lyle Lovett album, Dean Parks, and a whole bunch of other wonderful players here on the forum that I'm failing to mention.
Thanks,
Brad |

Hey Mr. Pinkston. Just bought one a few minutes ago. Hopefully it will be here within 4 weeks, but I trust Mr. Sarno. I did find some audio files and I decided to go ahead and get one because of the clarity of the bass and treble range. I CANT WAIT!!!!! _________________ "Hotrod"
