Kay continues to push the steel guitar repertoire envelope.

Tripping across the border from italy to austria....here is Johann Strauss II's famous waltz composed 1866.....adapted for steel guitar. this is a version recently made popular by UK teenager Faryl Smith, recorded at Air Studios in London over Christmas and earlier this year and re-named "River of Light" with new words put to it. It is reported that when asked by Frau Strauss for an autograph, the composer Johannes Brahms autographed Mrs. Strauss's fan by writing on it the first few bars of the Blue Danube. Under it he wrote "Unfortunately not by Johannes Brahms" .

The Blue Danube was used for the film 2001: A Space Odyssey,

Played on West Coast C6, Key of D.
