I just heard Phil do the most amazingly beautiful rendention of "How Great Thou Art" I ever heard ANY steeler play. Great tone, flawless execution. If you know Phil get him to send you a recording of this. It was great.

Phil has a cd entitled "Precious Memories" by "Phil Coontz and Friends" which contains ten gospels with "How Great Thou Art" with Jeannie Kendall being one of them.
The songs also contain vocals by Randy Plummer, Leona Williams, Jean Shepard, Jeannie Kendall, Phil, Bill Jordan and Max Bacon.
Miss Eva & I have two copies which we enjoy quite often.
Email Phil at philbertd2@aol.com
If Phil is at our Christmas Party in Branson on 12/13 he'll have some copies there I would imagine.

Highly recommend Phil's playing. One nice gentleman here and a super player. Everyone here in the Deep South sure enjoyed him being at our show this year. Hope he can come back in the future. Thanks Phil.

In my opinion, Phil Coontz is the most under-rated Steel player out there. I've heard him several times in Branson, Marshfield, Mo. and His first time it the big show in St. Louis. I think he should be a regular at St. Louis. A great player, singer, and of course a great person. Larry B.
