I just received a beautiful cabinet from Rick Johnson. I should know this, but how do you determine which wire from the cabinet input jack goes to which lead on the speaker? In this case, it's a Black Widow, which has the red and black spring loaded connectors.
Thanks for the guidance. Boo |

Sure thing Boo-
The wire from the jack contact (the tip) goes to the positive (+ red) contact on the speaker.
And that leaves the other wire from the jack (the sleeve) goes to the negative (- black) contact on the speaker. _________________ Emmons Push Pull, BMI, Session 400, Home of the Slimcaster Tele. |

Boo, if you're just using one speaker, it makes no difference whatsoever. Speaker polarity (or, more properly, speaker "phasing") only becomes an issue when you're using multiple speakers or amps for the same instrument. |
