Another full house of great musicians and appreciative crowds. Russ and Herby could never let you down for enthusiasm and sound. It was especially SO good to have Woody and Johnny twining and making it so comfortable for a player like myself. What a feeling of family for those who were there.
Sincerely, Bob Strum

Dr. Bob , you are so right. It was my first time back for a couple of years. As some famous steel player might say, " I had a large time".

Hey John,
We try our best to keep him away from any microphones, but he found a way to sneak in a joke or two anyway. You know, if you give a drummer a mic, you're just asking for truoble. I hear some of them will even want to sing.
Seriously, Wayne, it was great having you back in Saluda, and thanks for draggin Bill along with you. We've missed you both.
See ya in February,
Jim

I really wanted to go, but I had a gig on Saturday and the big rock slide on I-40 meant I'd have to leave extra early to go the long way around, and I just couldn't talk myself into it. Great guys, good food, and good music, all under one roof.

Danny,
Thanks for checking in and letting us know you made it home OK. Don't mean to sound like a dad, but I was a little concerned about you and Pat driving all night. Also, thanks so much for all the work you do.
And Bill, you know I love playing your set, but to see Stowers feeling well, I'll gladly be the other drummer.
See ya soon,
Jim

The only badpart of the day was when Terry Rogers introduced me. Some one yelled out ,"he's an idiot". Terry said ," who called our drummer an idiot"? Hartley yelled out " who calle that idiot a drummer"?[ THAT HURT!

On behalf of the Convention Staff and the Shriners we thank you for making the show another success. It's such a great cause, both keeping the music alive and the wonderful things happening at the Childrens Hospital. It was great to see some old friends and make some new ones. Theirs so many people to thank (too many to name). Just keep Woody in your prayers he is a wonderful friend and player.
