Bobby Caldwell

Post by Jim Saunders »

| attended my first convention in St. Louis in '99, the year I started playing pedal steel. I was awed by the steel players, but Bobby Caldwell's playing really was the topping on the cake. Really! Also Roy Rosetta's playing. I saw Bobby on a break and talked with him and told him how impressed I was with his sparkling solos. He was kind enough to spend a few minutes with me and not at all condescending to a newbie fan. And, everytime I attended St. Louis, Bobby was allways a key attraction. I'll miss him.
