We shouldn't cut the performers down. It's the music that most of us don't care for. If the singers sang with perfect pitch, etc... we still wouldn't like it. These people don't know any better. They think what they're doing is country, an it is to them and this moment in time. They're making good money, having a good time, and the award winners have excelled in their circle. So, I think it's wrong to throw barbs at them when the music itself is what we really have a problem with.

Right on, Rick. Country music has been, largely, a machine for a long time now. There's just some new gears in there.
