Hey--anybody help me out in figuring out which tuning nuts to get for my Pro 1? I finally figured out the George L shop was the place to go, but then I have to decide whether 3/32 or 1/8 inch rod. Which is it? Thanks as always. |

Depends on what year yours is. Early buds were 1/8". Super pro era used a smaller rod.. Post a pic of your undercarrage? |

David, your Pro 1 ,if it is not 1/8 then it is more than likely 7/64 (.1094) you are going to have to measure the O.D. of the rod. Martin. _________________ Several custom steels. NV-112 Boss DD-7 |

Most likely it is the 1/8th rod, that has a 5/40 thread. Order those if it is a older one. _________________ Sho-Bud LDG, Martin D28, Ome trilogy 5 string banjo, Ibanez 4-string bass, dobro, fiddle, and a tubal cain. Life Member of AFM local 142 |

Yeah most all the old Buds and MSA's are 1/8" and use a #5/40 pitch thread. That is an uncommon thread so u may try a gunsmith shop to get the die as that gauge and pitch are used commonly in gun and firearm construction |
