| on the new cd "Enchanted" the steel player is Mark Deffenbaugh and he's the band's regular steeler these days...at least that's my understanding. It's another great cd too ...Mark has a different sound from Mike Neer and from the band's first steel player Henry Bogdan.... all 3 are excellent players. |

| It's interesting how the wood-bodied resophonic colors their overall sound and vibe so differently than Mike's tricone did. I've heard all three steel players, all of them fine musicians but personally speaking, for my taste, the Moonlighters never sounded better than when Mike was their steel player. |
