Anyone have any info on these. This one I just got needs a new pot. I'd rather have a regular old passive pedal so I'll probably just pop in a dunlop 470K pot I got from Tom Bradshaw.
Am I better off leaving it as an active pedal? Anyone want to trade an L120 for it?

| Hi Ross, According to the Goodrich people, these were the early 10K pedals. They can use either a 10K pot or a 500, [Or 470 Dunlop] They are still an active pedal with the regular pot. I've had two of them over the years. Hope this helps. |

| I have an even older Goodrich active pedal (6222) and I just sniped the wires inside from the buffer and reconnected the ground wire and now its just a passive with the Bradshaw pot.The active buffer is great if you like not to have a tonal change through the sweep. Otherwise its just like a guitar pot and more of a natural sweep. It depends on your rig etc on what you like. Maybe borrow a passive pedal and compare before you start snipping because active pedals can sound great too. |

| No Ross, it doesn't require a 10K pot. I think Goodrich is putting 500K pots in their "10K" pedals now. And I believe Tom Bradshaw is replacing them with the better quality Dunlop 470K pots in the ones he sells. |

Ross, all the posters are correct about Goodrich now using 500K (PEC brand) pots in their "10K" model pedals (which is an "active" pedal with buffered circuitry). From my experience in shipping about 2,000 of the Dunlop pots over about a 2-year period, I'm convinced that these pots have been put into about every model and brand of pedal made. No one has ever said that a buffered-circuit pedal lost its effect by the use of my Dunlop 470K pots. I've never even had a person tell me that this Dunlop pot wouldn't fit into their pedal. ...Tom

I'll pop this 470 Dunlop pot in there and give it a whirl. If I don't like the buffering I'll bypass it. |
