From my collection of stuff I pulled out a Goodrich L10K today and noticed it uses a battery. Someone tell me about this pedal. Why the battery? I have another Goodrich pedal that does not use a battery.
What is the difference in these pickups other than the fact that one uses a battery? Is there drain on the battery if cables are plugged in? Any comment you have will be appreciated. Thanks.

The link will give you the info you seek. The battery will drain if the cords are left plugged in when not in use. Typically a battery will last 6 months or so. These are my favorite pedals. I've tried many other pedals but always come back to the L-10K.

I have two of the H10K's and I only change the batteries every couple of years. I leave one at the church where I play, and use the other one for practice at home. I use them 8 - 10 hours per week. The batteries I take out still test good, I don't know how long they would last if I left them in. They are 10 to 12 years old and I've only had to change one pot.

Thanks Lynn, David and Darvin. I appreciate your responses. Sounds like I have a really great pedal here.

my favorite pedal, also. i rarely change the battery...maybe once a year, but doesn't really need it. these record better clean sound than anything. if i had a million dollar telonics/mullen designer/boutique pedal, i would spend days trying to make it sound and feel like this...so why bother?
