Cap question: Fox, Sarno, Sliff, anyone else w/experience?

I'm doing my first real amp repair (Twin Reverb). Hoorah! Anyway, I've got to replace a .001 mfd ceramic, 400 volt cap. I don't have one, and the local electronics supply store is lame, and doesn't stock 'that sort of thing'. I do have a .001 mfd M150 series, 630 volt one. Is this ok? Will it mess with the tone?
Thanks.

AFAIK if the value is the same but with a higher voltage rating it should be fine

Yes, but you need to polarize the Mallory 150 caps.
Here's an article about that,

That M150 cap will be a nice sonic improvement over the old ceramic one.
