Fiddle Player Needed - Austin, TX - Permanent Position

Post by Bill Terry »

Gigging Austin area based George Strait Tribute band is looking for a fiddle player. This is all George Strait material, and the gigs are typically corporate or private events. Some travel may be required, but no long road trips, usually out and back in a weekend or local. With fiddle, this is a 7 piece band, all good players (except the steel guy is kinda weak...)

The highlights:
- Paid rehearsals (1, sometimes 2 per week at this point, 50 bux per)
- $200 per gig mininum guaranteed, per diem and expenses on travel dates
- Sound, lights, roadies provided, no gear totin'
- 'Just Like the Record' or close, with some artistic liberty here and there.
- Taking other outside gigs is fine, but this gig has to have top priority.

If interested, or questions you can contact me via email or PM, or check the craigslist ad here:

and follow up with the band management via that contact info.

You don't need a fiddle player, you need a robot.

Thanks Raybob. Actually, her name came up... she's great.

Actually, we've got a 'pro' guy subbing the gig right now that doesn't seem to have a problem with being a 'robot'. Could it be he's trying to make a living? :-)
