Those of you in the Southern California region are all probably already familiar with the legendary DJ, MC, Radio and TV Personality Jim"The "Poorman" Trenton. What you probably don't know is that he is a huge supporter of UNSIGNED BANDS And Wants To Put Your Band On TV.

For details simply read on but first…..

For those of you outside the region please allow me to provide you with a little background info on "The Poorman". The Poorman is a 105.7 KROQ FM legend, as the former top drive time jock in the Los Angeles market Jim "Poorman" Trenton is credited with the creation of many shows for TV and Radio. Impressively among his credits you will find the ever popular Loveline as well as "Anti Radio for Unsigned Indy Bands" and "Anti Magazine" with producer / editor Martin Brown of <a href=http://www.LiveMagazine.com/www.OrangeC ... s.com>Live Magazine fame.

Now refocused on his #1 rated TV show "Poorman's Bikini Beach", which in its first 3 seasons aired over 120 ½ hour episodes on the KCAL and UPN television networks; "Poorman" who now works with 102.7 KISS FM and "Rick Dees In The Morning" and Post Modern TV a division of Post Modern Edit is bringing you an opportunity for exposure you never thought you could obtain for your band.

Poorman wants to personally invite "Unsigned bands" to become a part of the all new season of the "Poorman's Bikini Beach" television show. If selected you and your band's live performance will be filmed and edited to air as part of "Poorman's Bikini Beach"

For this exceptional opportunity you are invited to tour the new state of the art PMTV multimedia recording studios in Irvine, Ca. There you will see what most "Unsigned Bands" never have the opportunity to see, A Truly World Class Recording and Editing Facility. If your band is accepted for inclusion you will be given the opportunity to Record A Professional Hollywood Style "Live Performance Video" with the "Poorman's Bikini Brigade" at this facility.

Besides all new, top of the line recording, editing and mastering equipment, the studio has available,
2 separate, climate controlled Sound Stages. Each sound stage is large enough to accommodate a full band, gear sets, props and audience and both stages are fully viewable from the recording control room.

In addition "Poorman" is also hosting a contest with a special prize for the act selected to provide the "Bikini Beach" TV Theme Song but the deadline for theme song submissions is only two weeks away.

All music submitted that meets minimum standards of content, performance and production will be given an opportunity to be used elsewhere in the show even if it is not selected for the shows official theme song. It may also be considered for inclusion
In a special compilation and other "unique" creative promotional ideas for additional multimedia exposure.

If you would like to make an appointment to tour the facility and check
it all out in person or if you would like more detailed information of how you or your band can gain considerable exposure starting with the LA market and spreading across the country with syndication of the show, simply Email "The Poorman" at pooorman@aol.com and BE SURE TO USE THE SUBMISSION CODE "PMTV Opportunity Bikini" as the subject line or call The Poorman at the Post Modern TV Offices at (949) 608-8700 or on his cell at (949) 230-2787 and let him know you are calling in reference to "PMTV Opportunity Bikini."

Bobby,
How much does it cost the band for this opportunity ?

Are there contracts involved ?
Publishing ?
Any incidental fees ?

Pardon my cynicism but your post looks more like an ad than an announcement to me.

Bob, yes as I have announced with less marketing oriented posts in the past there is a fee associated with production of the video.

I only post it at the request of Poorman who will gladly provide all details but the answer across the board to your questions is Yes, there is a Fee - $500.00, yes contracts are involved, yes to the best of my knowledge there are royalty, and publishing fees involved at least on the theme songs.

A quick email to pooorman@aol.com will gain you full details over and above what I know.

While the post does in deed advertise a service that service can and will provide Indie Bands with a great vehicle for mainstream exposure via TV and a show that has done very well in the ratings in the past and is expected to do far better this year because of the increased budget of the new production company involved and a 6:30 PM time slot as opposed to after midnight programing.
