I am getting ready to replace the pickup on my GFI and thought ask a few questions first.

What is suppose to be under the pickup that allows for adjustments? Mine has a E66 mounted directly to the bottom of the cutout for the pickup. Should there be springs or foam or something under the pickup. I cannot see how there could be very much under the E66 as it is about as low as it can go and still have about one 25 cent coin under the strings.

Anyone have any advice/tips for mounting a TrueTone in the GFI?

Thanks for the help.
