Carter D-10 9x8 for sale

Post by Tom McCarthy »

This 1998 Carter is in very good condition, shows a few pick scratches, but no dings, burns, gouges. Has a George L E-66 in the E9 neck and a George L 10-1 in the C6. It is all pull, has Carter's accurate "no-drift" tuning.

E9 neck uses Pedals 1,2,3 in standard Emmons setup, Pedal 4 "Franklin" lowers 5, 6, and 10. I am totally clueless on the C6 neck, it is standard setup as far as I know. Will try to answer all questions. Comes with Original case, in excellent condition, I will throw in some string sets and some instructional stuff, both video and print.

I never got around to learning C6, and would rather take my Mullen S-10 on gigs for the light weight anyway. This was bought two years ago and has never left my house.

Some pics attached, I have many more. This is a solid, heavy guitar, weighs about 85# so figure about $100 to ship, but I will charge the actual price of packing and shipping. Considering all the added levers, would like to get $1950.

I have received a solid offer for the steel, sorry to those who didn't see it sooner. If there is a change I will re-list it. Thank you all for your interest. I will send a donation as soon as deal goes through.

Just plain old natural gas, Gary,
Bass player works just like a drum, you just need to hit it.

85 pounds is not right. I have a Carter D10 with 9 & 9 and it maybe weighs 60 (in the case) at the most (I don't have a scale). But the $100 (or more) to pack and ship is probably accurate for USA shippment. I always guess at shipping charges and when I get to the UPS of FEDEX store, I find I quoted way under.
Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 53 years and still counting.

A D10 Carter with 8 and 5 is supposed to be 56 in original case. Add a few pounds for the extra hardware on this one.
Looks like a massive case of bang for the bucks here. (concidering it's black and all...)
