It's a Fessy D-10, my RKR has D#-D-C# (string 2) D-C# (string 9), (and C to C# on the C6th neck). I'm guessing it has something to do with the hex/split screws at the endplate?... If this topic has already been covered, please post a link.

Set the start of the ninth string drop (and maybe the raise on the C6 neck?} to coincide exactly with the second string, when it has dropped a half-tone.

If the ninth then overshoots, use the setscrews in the changer block to tune it to C#

Thanks for your replies. I'm not sure I understand how I adjust the start of the 9th string drop to begin exactly when the 2nd string hits the D. Could you explain this a bit more detailed? Sorry. I'm not a very technical kind of guy...

getting the D on 2 is a "Feel" stop Ask
which means that you tune it in on string 9's nylon tuner just before it lowers to C#
on my zum, i engage the lower to D to tune it
release it, then engage again to see if if it's in tune

the C# ( NOT the D) on string 2 is tuned on it's own nylon tuner

Ok. So now my feel stop is exactly at D and the C# on the 2nd string is also in tune. The C# lower on the 9th string is a bit sharp. I tuned it with the split screw but before it got to hit the C# pitch, the fixed lever stop stopped it... Does this mean I have to adjust the fixed stop to let the 9th string lower be able to make its complete travel to the C# pitch?

Yes, you need to increase the travel of the knee lever, and set the C# lower (on the 9th string) with the setscrew in the changer housing.
