Faron Young's song Leaving and saying goodbye.
On the bridge where it goes to the 2 chord ( til I come runnin' back like a runaway child who's) afraid to cross the street--
E neck --
I trying to learn it in "C" but can tranpose if anyone can help. I can't seem to find the easiest notes to fit the chord and tune there. Thanx Bill.

Hi Bill,
Try this

Tab:

...........D9..........................

1----------------------
2----------------------
3--1---3---3b--3b--3b------------3--3B
4--1L--3L--3L--3L--3L-- (repeat)
5--1---3---3A--3A--3A--
6----------------------
7----------------------
8----------------------
9----------------------
10---------------------

....G13...........

1------8----------------

4--8L-------------------
5--8-------10A~~8~~~6---

6-------------------------

8--15~~~~~~~--------------
9----------------15~~~~~--
10------------------------

All the best,
-John

John I'm embarressed - Embarassed - I knew that lick and have used it a few times in various songs but for some reason it never occurred to me to try it there.
The other woman, is one song that comes to mind where I use it sometimes in the bridge. Thanks so much for waking me up, I appreciate it. Bill.
