I am pleased to announce that Mitsuo Fujii's much awaited CD is off and running and also so honored
that He accepted my photo and gave me photo credits
on this STELLAR CD. I have been to many dinners with
Mitsuo and Makiki is daughter and their Japaneese friend and in the studio here in Nashville with Bill Stafford and Gene Breeden and of course John Heinrich
who is endorsed by Excel. What a fine gentleman and I might add a pretty good steel guitar player. I missed seeing alot of you at this years Steel Guitar convention in ST LOUIS but once again SCOTTIE had a stellar show. But Mitsuo and Makiki met with me in
Nashville and we celebrated this WONDERFUL CD.
have a great week

Mitsuo's CD

I am so proud of this for Mitsuo. He presented me with a copy during the ISGC in St. Louis this past weekend. Great song selection and SUPERB playing. This is a must have CD for steel guitar fans.
At home, this week, I have had in house guests and we listened to this CD over and over. His original songs are so unique and catchy-especially "Hoopity Two Step". (Should an enterprising dance studio listen to this one and then come up with a new two step dance, it is almost guaranteed to be another '...twist" type dance for all to enjoy-especially the dancers.) This song just demands that you have a good time. You might think when you just read the title, it was misspelled. Not so, "Hoopity..." fits perfect with all the sneaky nuances Mitsuo developed into this wonderful and airy song. A great talent here and especially noted on all his execution and heart felt playing. None better on the "American Trilogy" at the end either.
Best to you, my friend Mitsuo Fujii and congratulations on your first CD. Your steel guitars are the best on the market. Listening is proof!
