I won't be able to send out the usual monthly notice e-mail this month, this (and the notice on the club website) is the only jam notice for the September 12th, 7th anniversary jam.

Catfish Johnny's does not open until lunch time so we won't be able to get in until after 11am.

The jam format will be the same as we usually have - some "roundrobins" and then individual songs, just we will have additional time and the reason to have 6 songs prepared for the jam. How many songs each actually gets to play depends on how many show up to pick.

The jam will run from noon until at least 4 PM and possibly until 5PM.

Glad to hear it's going to be a normal format.
I wasn't looking forward to playing six songs straight. I may not know that many! Oh Well
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Jack Conyer and I will come together for this one. I will be bringing the williams and mabe a Steel King, am trading the Evans for a Steel king it is comming from Uniontown Oh, hope it arrives in time to get it setup for the williams.
Have been working full time and no time for practice, bring your ear plugs, just a timely warning, If I had any sense I would set this one out, Don will tell you I AM NOT SMART.
Looking forward to a good show, as we do most times.

I talked to Lonnie Portwood in St Louis. He may be coming down for the jam Saturday.

I got to jam with Lonnie in the Fulawaka room for about an hour on Saturday afternoon.

I'm now home from working the PSGA booth for 4 long days and evenings and I have had no time to practice except for playing several steels in St. Louis when I had a break on Friday.

I hope to see a good turnout for our Anniversary Jam on the 12th.

Ernie you'll do just fine my friend.

I also talked to Lonnie and he said he'd like to make the Jam.

Ed Fulawka wanted me to try out his steel also but I had to get back to the PSGA booth so I had to miss that. Ollie Strong plays his when he can make our winter jams and it sounds great.

It was nice to see so many of our club members at Scotty's.

It was like old home week.
See you Saturday.

As always it's great having you pick with us.
I saw Clayton Lyons at Scotty's and I said to him "I can play Secret Love and some of your tunes until you guys show up in the Fall."
See you then.

Soon,, I am practicing this new Steel King sounds so good I may stay home from work tomorrow and play all day, I would hate not to do a good job with this sound. It is what I have heard in my head for years and could not find, it sounds a lot like the sound on the Panther hall CD with LLoyd. Everything turned straight up, no effects, Glad it has casters, you can pull out he rear casters and it leans back just right, Could be one of you will help me pull them out for the Jam.
Also my new case for my williams arrived tues. whait till you see it it is just so good, tooled leather, imit.
