As a future Jackson player, I'd like to know what some of the features of the Blackjack Custom are. I'll be playin' one sometime in 2010 and I'd like to know what other Jackson players who play the Custom think of this guitar.

Brett,
I understand that 10 strings is a standard feature!
Ok just busting on you.

Brett,
I own a Blackjack Custom and I really like mine.
It showed up in April '08.
Mine has 3 pedals and 4 knee levers with the standard set up that you can see on the Jackson web site.
The lacquer body is beautiful and the tone is great, IMO. The action is extremely smooth too.

The Blackjack Custom is a model that features the same things the original Blackjack features. It combines old and new worlds, featuring concepts from the original Sho-Buds. The color on the Custom is charcoal black while the original Blackjack is a glossy black color. I'm lookin' forward to playin' a Jackson officially.

Plan to see you in Saluda in Nov. You will like the Black Jack and really like the case it comes in. Just got mine from Thomas and it is beautiful.
nan wants me to get one like the one they built for Johnny Cox, it is the most beautiful steel ever.
I have been playing Lee wilbers at the fl. Club jam and made the mistake, now Nan says it had the best tone of any guitar I ever played. It's an * string sun burst. She is really after me to get one.
Play often stay well and kiss the folks for us.

|

Jeff,
The only difference that I'm aware of between the Blackjack and the Blackjack Custom is that the Custom has a lacquer body.
I'm not sure if the Blackjack has a maple cabinet or dieboard. The Custom has a maple cabinet.
