Buzz Tone advice

I just bought a Buzz Tone and am finding myself a bit disappointed. I suspect theres something I am not getting right.

Am looking for some suggestions on how to get a good rich "fuzz" without an attack "snap". What I am looking for is a setting or something that would be good for "Freebird".

Maybe its the wrong tool?

Inquiring minds want to know.
