I bought the new Billy Currington CD today for two reasons. For the song People are crazy, and to find out who played Steel on it. Paul you ace'd that song.
The tone and work you did on that song is the most beautiful I've heard in a long time.

I totally agree with you Bill, P.F. totally nailed the steel work on this song. If I had to pick one part of the song that was my favorite, it would have to come close to the very end of the song after the next to, next to last "and people are crazy." when Paul does that wonderful 7th chord? I'm not sure what it actually is but I know I get goose bumps every time I hear it cause to me it just sums up what a steel is all about, that wonderful crying sound and those beautiful chord changes that can be made. I think it comes about 3:00 into the song. Ace job Paul, hats off.
Course it was Paul as well that made me want to throw my steel in a lake when I heard his work on "I don't even know your name." Once again, he never fails to impress.

J.P., interesting observation. I had the same reaction when I heard the steel play an obvious 7th chord change on that one. It made me realize how much it has been removed from recordings today. Very refreshing! Don D.
