I had originally planned for the re-release of the ablbum, 'It's The First Time', on CD for the Steel Guitar Convention. We fell behind but the release should be around the middle of October.
For those of you that don't remember....It's The First Time... was an album I produced in Nashville, Tenn. in the mid-seventies. Jimmy Bryant helped arrange for many of the artists. The artists on the live 'jam' in Harold Shedd's studio in Nashville sat in the recording room in a circle around the walls.
Included were: Buddy Emmons, Hal Rugg, Maurice Anderson, Curly Chalker, Lloyd Green, Doug Jernigan, Julian Tharpe, Speedy West and Jimmy Day on the steel guitars....Jimmy Bryant on guitar, Johnny Gore on Saxaphone, Henry Strylecki on elec. bass and the great Louie Bellson on drums. This was recorded in 1976 and has not been on the market since 1977.
I will post here on the forum when the CD is released.
Thanks,

Dave, if you're going to be at ISGC, I would suggest taking pre-orders, maybe offering free shipping upon release as an incentive. It's the best marketing opportunity of the year for you. Hate to see you miss it entirely.
Jim
p.s. I'm thrilled that you're releasing this. I've only heard one long jam tune from it, with Scotty calling out all the players' names as their solos came up. How many tunes are on the CD? _________________ www.JimCohen.com
