Which humbucking pups would readily fit into a Mullen D10 (1997) without any modifications?

Both Bill Lawrence and George L make "narrow-mount" pickups that fit the older Mullen guitars.

I tried a George L 12-1 (12 string version of the 10-1) in my 1997 Mullen and it was a very tight fit. The sides of the pickup were touching the neck.

I now have a BL-712 (12 string version of the BL-710) and it fits like it was made for my guitar. To my ears, it sounds better than the George L, too.

Like Lee said - narrow mounts will be fine.

I have some BL XR-16s in my RP. They are a tight fit but they do fit.

Hi Dave. I have a pair of George L's 10-1's that I took out of my 1991 Mullen.

They fit perfectly and sound great; I just have a preference for single coils. Contact me if you're interested in them.

10-1's do sound good in the Royal Precision.

Hi Dave! It was nice meeting & playing along side of you 3yrs ago at Pop's Place, The Mullen I had before the one I had when I met you, was a formica & metal neck pre-RP & I put a GL 10-1 in it "E9 neck"that I got from George Lewis at St. Louis in about 1990, That was the best sounding Mica Guitar I ever owned, I highly recommend you give one a try, Good Luck & say Hi to Rog & JeriLynn!
