I was perusing Mick Deacy's excellent(and FREE) tab site, and I noticed some of his tabs call for a whole-step raise of the A's(stgs 4 & 8 on C6).

I play U-12, and I currently do not have a change on pedal 4 and am considering the options. If I have a B->Bb lower on LKV, it seems redundant to put a G#->A# raise on pedal 4. I can't imagine I'd use the A# and B together. Is this a correct assumption? Can anyone think of an instance in which the whole-step pull on G# would be useful?

Hi Michael, I play a u12 Sierra. I use pedal 4 (g#-a#) alot for single note runs. usually these runs will end or begin on the B string.
Also lovely sounding for a big major 7th.
Also sometimes in conjunction with the c pedal for an orchestral climbing sound ( like when the bass stays on the 4 while the band climbs up to 5.
I have my B-Bflat lower on RKL so I'll use them together occasionally for effect.
Love pedal 4
