My Tony Francis Weissenborn--Nitro Laquer

Post by James Williamson »

Here is an update on the progress of my Tony Francis Weissenborn. It is now in the Laquer Stage. See Tony's note below and the link should take you to the pictures. Let me know if you have any problems with the link.

Hey James,

These are the pictures of your Style 4. Its taken some time, but I finally got the finish done. This is a true nitro lacquer applied in the old style which means there are no modern industry fillers or sealers, just pure nitrocellulose over natural resin. I think it looks great, and I hope you will like it too.

Next is polishing and fitting the bridge, hardware and setup. Yesterday I took delivery of my new special tuner eyelets which are made to match the 1/4" posts of the Runber machines you requested, so its all comming together which is great. I will send through some more pictures following.

Best,

Tony Francis

That is a very elegant, beautiful piece of craftsmanship, exactly how I would have ordered it.

James, can we look forward to a Weissenborn-fueled version of "Gimme Danger"...kind of a Stooges-meets-Sol-Ho'opi'i type thing?

;^)
