Could some one give me some info on the MCI Pedal Steel Guitar,who built them ,how many years they were built .what was the last year built,and can you still get parts for them?thanks,Ray White (steelmanplayer@yahoo.com)

Raymond, you can do a Google advanced search of this forum and come up with a wealth of posts regarding MCI/EMCI history.

The short version is they were built in the 80s, and some of the big guns in the building world were involved at one time or another, Bud Carter and Gene Fields to name just two.

Boils down to two eras, the earlier MCI wood body, and the latter MCI Range expander and EMCI welded frame models. All are good guitars with the welded frame guitars the more sought after.

Modern parts can be adapted to add what you want to any of these fine steels. Buy with confidence.
