For any of you in the Portland, Oregon area who may be interested, I will be performing my music on two occassions in Portland this summer:

On Wednesday, July 10th, from 7:30-9:30, I'll be at "It's a Beautiful Pizza" (3341 SE Belmont). In addition to having fantastic pizza, the owner Carl has a picture of Ravi Shankar on the wall. This is a nice place.

On Saturday, July 13th, I'll be giving an in-store performance at Timbuktunes (4726-B SE Hawthorne). This is one of the finest record stores I've ever been in, and owner Andy Hirsch's stock of interesting music from around the world, jazz, experimental, and vintage country/western music is incredible. They also stock my CD. I'll be playing at 2 PM. I'll be playing music from "Uma" as well as music from an upcoming release on Pauline Oliveros's Deep Listening label.

If any of you can make it, I'd be very glad to see you. Hope to see you there,

-- Susan

Susan, sorry I missed that show. My friend, Rudy Alexander, called me the other day in awe of your playing. It usually takes something like Curly's playing to impress Rudy-and to have Rudy call me long distance to compliment your talent is very impressive.
Wish I could have been there. Next time, I hope.

Thank you Bill and Jody for those nice words. One thing, BIll, is that the performance is NEXT week -- you can still drive from Mississippi and make it to Portland before the last note!

Sounds like Rudy was so excited he heard the whole concert before it was played!

Hi Jim, that was my mistake. But he did get to hear her play but not in this concert. I was confused as I am in the middle of locating that third chord you guys have been telling me about.
