Great Show. The High Stakes Band opened the show. Jody Sanders on steel guitar, Gene Brogdon on bass and vocals, Ronnie DeCaro on guitar and vocals, and Rusty Rutlege on drums. 30 minutes of traditional country music with steel all over it. Next, the Phelps Family stole the show. Billy on steel and vocals, Bud on guitar and vocals, Patty on bass and vocals, and Brenda on vocals with Rusty Rutlege on drums. Great pickin', great vocals and vocal harmony. Their rendition of "Rolling In My Sweet Baby's Arms" brought the house down. For you who do not know Bud Phelps, he is a monster lead guitar player. Billy's Carter Steel was swinging and sweet. Great show. For the "JAM", we had Jody Sanders on a Pedalmaster D10, Marty Holmes on a Shobud S12. Billy Phelps an a Carter D10, and Jerry Barnaba on a D10 Mullen. Everyone hung in there on the "JAM". This was Marty's first time to play for us. He hung right in there. Thanks to Mikey Phillips on handling the sound chores. Thanks to everyone who attended the show. A special thanks to Rusty for playing drums. Nice to have Wayne and Elaine Rose with us for their first time. The next meeting will be Sunday, July 28th. See you there. Jody. [This message was edited by Jody Sanders on 26 June 2002 at 09:31 PM.]
