To short rod travel

I have an Emmons Legrande ll. On the C6 neck I put a short rod on my RKR to get my 8th string from A to Bb. But the 4 whole bell crank doesn't provides enough travel to create a half tone. Are extra long bell cranks available? Any better ideas?
Thnx for help

Sigi, does your guitar have an adjustment screw you can turn to increase the amount of travel of the knee lever?

The changer certainly has enough travel to accomplish
this change. The problem is most certainly in the linkeage. I would try Tucker's suggestion first.

Thnx for your help.
There is no adjustment screw. If there is one where should it be?
No better linkage is possible anymore

Segi; In working on a few of these Emmons guitars, I've run into this problem. Their lever stops are fixed with no adjustment screw. What I did was take the stop out, drill & tap for a screw & reinstall further from the lever. Only way I could find to do it. Takes a little time but worth it IMO. Hope this helps you. Andy H.
