Does Anyone Know Who SJ Channel is?

Uploaded on Jun 26, 2011
This is a custom amp I designed and built to use with my pedal steel guitar. The design is all tube, except for a solid state reverb module. The output stage uses a pair of 6550A power tubes. It puts out a very clean 100W RMS. The preamp has a Baxandall tone stack for the Bass and Treble controls, plus a tunable midrange cut whose center frequency can be shifted over the range of 500-1000 Hz. The speaker is an Eminence Commonwealth 15 in an open-back cabinet. I recorded the soundtrack with an SM57 aimed near the edge of the dust cap and a Zoom H2 recording the room.
