Al,
I ordered mine about the same time and paid w/paypal. I'll bet yours will be in your mailbox any time now. Mine came packaged extremely well.
I do know that Marty's very busy..probably overwhelmed at the response he's had for his machine work, and the communications have probably been slow, but he'll work through all that. His prices are certainly a deal for the quality of his work.
He replied to both of my emails in a very timely manner. I sent him one about a week after I paid just to make sure he received the order, and the day I wrote the 2nd one asking about the status, mine was in the mailbox when I got home as was an email from Marty letting me know he'd trace the package if I didn't receive it within a couple of days.
I've got a couple more bars I want him to turn out for me, so I'll be getting in line again here in the next week or so.
Add to the thread when you get yours and let me know how it turned out. My guess is that you'll be happy.

Steve -- I got my bar yesterday, and it truly is a beautiful piece. Custom width and length that is definitely not a standard size anyone else carries. Slick as a wet seal, too. A nifty "S" engraved on the bottom -- pretty neat. Maybe a future collector's item...
