I just got an email from Joe. His email said, "I will not be attending the convention this year. Thanks..Joe"
Is there any plans to replace him with someone else? Offering a simular type of course?
Doug Jernigan's course is for Intermediate to Advanced. I've only been playing since November.
Scotty I sure needs time to react to this and to find a replacement. Keep up the good work.

The levels of the non pedal seminar are beginer-intermediate-advanced on both segments respectively.
We can never forget the basics so we will do a complete E7 section, then retune and do a complete C6 section. Lots of bar slants!! some music theory, not too much to hurt our playing, and 10 complete tunes. Should be fun! I've done this seminar a couple times and it has been proofread and refined nicely.
Hope to see you there!
You don't even nessesarily need a guitar, or even a converted acoustic would be fine.
Call or email us for details or if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks!
Don E.

hey Tony,
I spoke with Scotty about this - he said "it wasn't necessary, but you won't get much out of the class with out it" or something to that effect. He basically encouraged me to find a way to bring it.
hope that helps

Addendum to the posting on the seminar: I will be teaching the E9th tuning for most of the day. There will be about one hour of C6 toward the end of the day. If not possible for you to bring your steel guitar, that will be okay. You will have a tabulature book and CD. You may bring an audiorecorded for the live question and answer part of the seminar.
I hope to see you there.
Thanks!
Doug |
