I guess I'll have to blow my own horn as who else would like to blow it, halitosis and all. My new steel CD, Country Standard Steel, is out for sale. Instead of reinventing the wheel and inspired by the Lloyd Green\Tommy White concept, I went for all standards. Also it's all me on the backup instruments, as if you don't have enough of me on the steel. Here's a link to my webpage with the info on it. http://www.cadvision.com/laceyj/shedhouse.htm#johncd

John comped me with a copy of his cd a couple of weeks ago. I listened to it in my truck for the four hour post-midnight drive from Black Diamond to Edmonton and it kept me going (yeah John, I know I said I was probably going to grab a motel in Calgary, but I just didn't feel like it, ya know...). I really dug it - John gets tone out of his old P/P that a lot of people only dream of getting. John is one of our finest players out west here, and a wealth of knowledge about anything relating to the pedal steel.

Way to go John. Save a copy for me when I get back to Canada. Say hello to the gang in black Diamond for me.
