Hi forumites, Im a newbie and wont have my steel until August and was wondering if anyone knows the approximate spacing between the strings of an average pedal steel guitar. I want to make a practice board with strings so I can be that much ahead. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The string spacing of my Williams is 5/16" center to center in the pickup area. Happy plucking Mr. Green

Hi Al

My 12 string has a string spacing of 5/16ths, but most 10 strings are 11/32 or even 3/8 inch.
