Over this past weekend, while I was at my "day job" which is my night job. I had the chance to catch the Midnite Jamboree on WSM and got to hear the great Weldon Myrick playing. He sounded great as usual. I wish I was there in person to hear him. He is one of my favorites.

He came to Tokyo years ago to play Fuzzy's (XL) annual steel get together. The Japanese players loved him, even though he said no one could smoke in the restaurant while he was playing... -L- Yeah Weldon!

I got to speak with him and he is a heck of a nice guy. i had met him years before when I went to Jeff's school at the double wide. He took the class to the Opry and we got backstage and met all of the pickers. Weldon is t-a-l-l!
