Hi Guys-Does anyone have a program to transfer a recording from MP3 to MPEG. I notice on Tilleys's site, it only takes about 3 minutes to download a song and I am on Dial Up. That is a lot better than 15 minutes. I don't notice any degree of degradation on the change...thanks...al.Smile

MP3 is MPEG. I suspect you are referring to converting standard wav music files to the compressed MP3 format. That would make more sense as converting, for example a 3 1/2 minute song from a wave (of approximately 35 Mb) to MP3 (approx 3.5MB) would greatly shorten the time to upload or download.

There are many free MP3 converters around. The Audacity recording program will even do it.

HI Jack, thank for your info. I have a Wave to MP3 Converter, works fine. But Tilley, uses some kind of program to Change MP3 to MPEG. that somehow makes it smaller file yet. I'll have to ask him about it. I know that my videos are into MPEG. My Audacity does have a MP3 converter but wont work unless I have a LAME program loaded to do it. So I save in Wave then use my converter to go to MP3.Thanks...al.Smile

You can check out this multi-use program. It does have a minimal cost but 15 day free trial.
