Fender Quad Neck

Post by Carl Leyland »

Hi -

I don't know of any for sale but a friend of mine just bought a 4 neck Fender Stringmaster (24 inch scale). One of the necks has wider slots in the nut & apparently that was because it was a baritone neck.

Carl.

Only one I can think of right now is made by Fouke Industrial Guitars, they have a 30" scale baritone as one of their models:

Dan Walsh Signature baritone lap steel

I know I've seen others, but can't remember who made them...

You should contact Forum member Tom Pettingill:

Or, check out Ellie Erickson:

http://ellieguitarstwo.blogspot.com/

and make sure you check out her original web site (under the "Links" on the right side).

She posts over at the Musical Instrument Makers Forum (MIMF), too:

For that matter, there are probably several builders over on the MIMF that would build you a baritone lap steel.

I've been wanting to build a baritone scale steel for a while now, lots of fun ways to go with one.
If I can be of any help Phil, don't hesitate to give me a shout.
