NO GOOD EXCUSES

Here is a song I wrote and recorded over 30 years ago. I think it still holds up…
I had the great privilege of “producing” Al Perkins as he overdubbed his “pull string telecaster” parts
at 0:06, 0:36, 1:07 & 2:29 on this track. Al produced this album in 1978, and gave me tips on my pedal steel technique.
Randy and I worked quite a bit on our twin lead parts, with Al’s Tele becoming the icing on the cake. We completed the overdubs at THE SOUND CASTLE in Hollywood CA. Where I got to run the console and big 2” tape machine! (if only for a few minutes) The Bethlehem album (MARANATHA MUSIC!) is now out of print, I transferred this track from an old LP

BETHLEHEM
Dom Franco: Lead Vocal &Fender 2000 pedal steel
Randy Rigby: Vocals & Gibson ES 335
Danny Daniels: Vocals & Fender Stratocaster
John Falcone: Vocals & Fender Precision Bass
Dan McCleery: Vocals & Drums

Wow, I love that Bethlehem record. I bought it way back when it came out. A friend of mine was into Christian music and hipped me to it. I've been thinking of putting it into ProTools and remastering it. Again, wow, what a reminder of great things that I already have.
