Back in 1946, a friend who was very handy at electronics fashioned me a volume pedal using sewing machine parts. The metal pedal itself was in the shape of a foot, he attached a strong wire from the 'foot' to the vol pot which was mounted towards the front and above the 'toe' area. I wish I had a photo of this crazy contraption! It worked darned good for about 4 or 5 years. I eventually bought a new, (now long since discarded), snazzy DeArmond pedal which were all the rage during that era. Laughing

I still have my DeArmond (1950). It's built rugged. It eats pots, but I rarely use it. I think it could be run over with a truck and not hurt it. Smile
